1. God's glory in creation (1-6)
Creation seems silent. But like the hymn, 'How Great Thou Art,' David heard creation shouting, 'God is great! See what God has done!' The whole world reveals God's glory. See how the sun gives light and warmth to all! This is general revelation.
2. The LORD's law is perfect (7-11)
The word of the LORD is special revelation to God's people. His word is perfect, trustworthy, right, radiant, pure, firm and righteous. His word gives refreshment, wisdom, joy and light. To David, God's word was better than money and honey. God's word gives warnings and rewards.
3. Pleasing words and meditations (12-14)
Before Almighty God and his perfect word, who are we? We are sinners in need of forgiveness. We are humble servants in need of mercy. May our words and thoughts be pleasing to God our Creator and Redeemer.
Application: O Lord our God, how great you are!
One Word: The word and power of God are great!
