1. Worship at the place God will choose (1-14)
God called his people to worship him. He called them to demolish idol worship in the land. They were not to worship God in the way of the people of the land. They also should not worship God as they saw fit, everyone doing as they wanted. The LORD called them to worship him only. God promised to make his dwelling among them; he called them to worship the LORD in the way and at the place he provided.
2. So that it may go well with you (15-28)
The LORD allowed his people to enjoy his provision, but they should be mindful of God in all things. When they ate, they should remember God's commands. They should remember God's servants, the Levites. They should be mindful that their bountiful provision is from God and for him. Their life is not just for eating, but it is for the worship of God. God called his people to offer themselves to his service through their obedience. Then it would always go well for them.
Application: Lord, thank you for the privilege of serving you. Bless me to be mindful of God every moment and serve you in your way.
One Word: Worship the Lord in his way
