GOD FORGIVES TRANSGRESSION

Date : Feb 20, 2020
Passage : Micah 7:1~20
Keyverse : 18

1. "I wait for God my Savior" (1-10).

Micah's life among unbelievers was miserable. The righteous were gone, leaving violent, deceptive and greedy people. God's coming to them was a day of judgment. Not even family members could be trusted. But Micah lifted his eyes to the LORD and decided to watch in hope, to wait for God to save him, believing God will hear his cries. Although enemies seemed to have won, God would vindicate him by bringing him out of sins into His light.

2. "Who is a God like you?" (11-20).

Micah saw the day of God's blessing on his people. He prays to God the shepherd, yielding their future to God's righteous will and plan, trusting in his justice. Micah's name means: "Who is like Yahweh". Micah could not help but conclude with praise to God, who forgives, who delights to show mercy: who is like that? Our God is!

Application: Father, there is none like you, who forgives our sins
One Word: God delights to show mercy
