1. God remembered Abraham (1-29)
The two angels arrived at Sodom. They stayed with Lot despite his poor service. But all the young and old of the whole city surrounded Lot's house. They demanded the guests to have sex (homo sex) with them. That shows the total depravity of Sodomites. How were the life of Lot and his families in Sodom? They became greatly influenced by those Sodomites: Lot left Abraham, chose corrupt city life, had no friend, and no good influence as a shepherd. His future sons-in-law despised his warning as a joke. His wife despised God's word. She became a pillar of salt. His two daughters abused their father, as he had no respect for them. Lot had no desire, no strength to leave city life. He still chose a small city. He really didn't deserve. Yet the angels grasped his hand. They led him out before God rained down burning sulfur destroying all the living things in the cities. It shows the sure and thorough judgment of God at the last day. But God rescued Lot only because of Abraham who prayed to God as a mediator.
2. Lot and his daughters (30-38)
Lot's two daughters gave birth to Moab and Ben-Ammi, the father of the Ammonites who became forever hostile toward God's people Israel.
