1. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (31-34)
Paul and Christians were persecuted by non-Christians wherever they preached the gospel of Christ. Anyone could be fearful and want to quit. But Paul knew God had chosen and justified them. God, who gave Jesus, will hold nothing back for us. Jesus, who died and rose again, is also interceding for us.
2. More than conquerors (35-38)
What could threaten to separate us from Christ's love: trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword? Christians may look at times like sheep to be slaughtered. But Christians are actually more than conquerors through the love of Christ. No power in heaven or on earth can separate us from God's love in Christ Jesus.
