1. Waiting in hope (18-25
Life in this world involves sufferings, frustration, bondage to decay, and death (18,20,21). The creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed and brought into freedom and glory (19, 21). Creation groans like a woman in labor; though it's difficult, there is hope ahead. Christians hope for our adoption to sonship, as co-heirs with Christ. Our bodies will be redeemed and changed.
2. Being conformed to Jesus' image (26-30)
The Spirit helps us what to hope and pray for, according to God's will. In all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Christians are all being conformed to the image of Jesus, as members of God's family. God calls, justifies and glorifies his children for this. This is ultimately our hope and inner longing.
