1. His name is the word of God (11-16)
Jesus is well-described here as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is called faithful and true. He judges with justice. He infiltrates all invisible things of the universe with eyes of blazing fire. Many crowns are on his head. His name is the Word of God. Though the armies of heaven follow him, he fights with his sharp sword out of his mouth to strike down the nations. Jesus strikes down the rulers of the nations with an iron scepter, dashing them to pieces like pottery (Ps 2:9). He will judge the world like treading the winepress with the fury of God the Almighty.
2. The beast and the false prophets into the fiery lake (17-21)
Here also comes the judgment of the two puppets of Satan, the beast and the deceptive prophets. They wage war against the Lamb but they are only thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Those who follow them would be killed too by the sword of the Lord and the birds would gorge themselves on their flesh.
