1. God's judgment on the ungodly (1-7)
Jude, a brother of Jesus, had hoped to write a letter to the church to share grace about the salvation that they enjoyed. But instead, he was compelled to use his spiritual authority to warn them to resist false teachers, who were abusing God's grace as an excuse to enjoy immoral desires. Jude sternly warns us that God's condemnation on the immoral and rebellious is real, as shown many times in the Scriptures.
2. Selfish shepherds (8-16)
Jude vividly illustrates the senselessness and selfishness of false teachers, who are spiraling towards darkness. Perhaps the strongest condemnation against them is that they are "shepherds who feed only themselves." We must keep our motive and lifestyle pure to live for the good of others.
