1. All things committed to Jesus (25-27)
People wanted to know if Jesus was the Messiah. John the Baptist's ministry and Jesus' miracles revealed that Jesus really was the Messiah. Nevertheless, many people were too proud in their own wisdom to accept this. But those who humbled themselves like children were blessed to know Jesus as the Messiah and the Son of God. If we want to know God, we must know Jesus Christ. God the Father has committed all things to Jesus.
2. Rest for your souls (28-30)
Sin makes us weary and burdened. Jesus invites all peoples to come to him. When we humbly come to him, he will not condemn us. Inswtead Jesus will give us rest. Jesus is humble and gentle. He invites us to learn from him, to give up our heavy yoke of sin and to take his yoke of love and grace.
