1. Jesus' blood obtains eternal redemption
(11-15)
The offering Jesus made as our High Priest has power that the Old Testament offerings could never have. The sacrificial blood he brought was his own sinless blood. He brought it into the true spiritual tabernacle of God's presence. In our sin, we were powerless under a death sentence (Ro 6:23); but Jesus' blood cleanses our conscience, setting us free from condemnation and enabling us to serve God positively in all situations.
2. One sacrifice for all (16-28)
The Old Testament prescribed blood offerings for anything relating to forgiveness of sins. But Jesus' one offering of his own blood was sufficient for all time, able to save everyone who hopes in him. Through Jesus' offering we escape judgment and live in hope of his coming to bring us salvation.
