1. The greatness of my God (1-30)
God who created the heavens and the earth and said, 'It is good' still reigns over and sustains his creation. All creation proclaims his glory and power. He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent. The clouds are his chariot. When he rebuked the waters, they fled, and the dry land appeared. Once he judged the earth with a flood--but he promised not to do it again. God the Sustainer waters the earth and makes it fruitful; he makes an appropriate environment for his creatures. When God withholds his favor, man and beast are terrified. When he takes away their breath, they die. When he sends his Spirit, they are created. He alone renews the earth.
2. May the glory of the Lord endure (31-35)
The Lord rejoices in his works. I too will rejoice in God and sing praises to him all the days of my life. I don't want to be among the wicked who will be destroyed.
Application: Lord, may your glory endure forever. May my meditation be pleasing to you, as I rejoice in you.
One Word: I will praise the Lord
