1. The Lord is holy (1-5)
The Lord reigns. He sits enthroned between the cherubim, full of righteousness and mercy. Great is the Lord; he is exalted over all the nations. Holy is the Lord who loves justice. He alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Let us come humbly to worship at his footstool; he is holy.
2. Those who called on his name (6-9)
Moses and Aaron and Samuel obeyed God's word. They prayed for God's people. Moses prayed for his people when they sinned; God heard and forgave them. Aaron was the high priest who interceded for the people day and night. Samuel prayed for his people during the time of the Judges, when they had no king. Later he anointed Saul, then David king. But he served his people best by praying for them (1Sa 12:23). When we call on God and ask his forgiveness, he hears and answers.
Application: Lord, help me to be a prayer warrior on behalf of your people in my time. Help me to call on your name day by day.
One Word: Call on the Lord; he answers
