1. Sing to the Lord a new song (1-10)

Our God is the Creator of all the earth. He is the one worthy of our praise and adoration. We must worship him in the splendor of his holiness--have a holy fear of God and a holy love of God in our hearts, and a song of praise on our lips. We must proclaim his salvation to all the families of the nations, until all people everywhere repent and acknowledge God as Creator and Lord of all things. We must bring him our offerings and glorify him forever.

2. All the trees of the forest will sing for joy (11-13)

All creation eagerly awaits the Lord's coming, for he will restore all things. He will restore the broken creation order. The trees of the forest, as well as the flowers and birds, the lions and elephants will shout for joy, for they have been groaning, waiting for him to come and lift the curse and restore the world (Ro 8:21-22). The Lord alone can judge, for he is the one who judges according to truth.

Application: Lord, help me to worship you in the beauty of holiness and to proclaim your salvation to all nations.
