GOD MAY OEPN A DOOR FOR OUR MESSAGE

Date : Dec 30, 2016
Passage : Colossians 4:2~18
Keyverse : 4:3

First, so that we may proclaim the message (2-6) Paul concludes admonishing the Colossians, 'Devote yourselves to prayer.' He didn't ask to pray for his release from the prison. He rather asked, 'God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ clearly.' Gospel work has obstacles by Satan and his agencies. So that we must pray that God may open a door as he did with Lydia in Macedonia. He also admonished to be watchful and thankful' making the most of every opportunity in their conversations wisely toward outsiders so that Christ may be preached by all means. Second, messengers and fellow workers (7-18) Paul mentions many coworkers' names such as Tychicus, Onesimus, Aristarchus as his messengers, his fellow prisoners, Mark who once ran away but became a great writer, Epaphras, the pioneer of Colossian church, and Luke, who took care of Paul's health. Paul didn't just use them to help him but he helped them to be great leaders.
Application: Lord, open the door for us to preach the gospel clearly to all nations. Use us to raise leaders too
One Word: Open a door for us!
