First, praise the Lord all you his creatures (1-12). God created all things for his own glory. Let all things in heaven and on earth praise him. Sun, moon and shining stars praise him. The great sea creatures, all wild animals and flying birds, all cattle must praise his name. Even hail and lightning, snow and clouds and stormy wind as well as mountains and trees, do his bidding. Kings and all princes, young men and maidens, old men and children--let them all praise his name, for he is our Creator. Second, he has raised up a horn (13-14). A horn is the symbol of strength. God has raised up a strong king and shepherd for his people. This is a great blessing. He has raised the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Jesus is the horn of salvation. All who belong to Jesus are the saints of Israel, the people close to God's heart.
Application: Lord, I join all creatures in praising your name. Especially, I praise you for Jesus, the horn of salvation.
One Word: Praise the Lord
